The Simpsons - Great Season!!!!!! I think after this season, Fox should start puting 2 sesons per box...... it is becoming expensive to collect this show
One of the seasons we'll all remember. We all know about the popular hit show on Fox, "The Simpsons". Since 1989, they have been around. A while after the release of their Movie, the complete 10th season is finally out. I think this is a great piece of Simpsons history as "Bart the Mother" involves the final appearance of
Phil Hartman before his death. Unfortunately after this season, I believe seasons 11-12 became a tad stale in writing, nothing too bad until 13-14 where it got a bit worse. But still, at least the show still exists as season 19 will be here this September. But, rather than talk about my views of the show and the new glory of season 18, I'm here to explain about my views on the 10th season:
Episode 1: "Lard of the Dance". Principal Skinner introduces Lisa to Alex Whitney (voiced by Lisa Kudrow), a girl who is into the "grown-up" idea with a cell-phone, fancy Barby clothes, a purse, and even drinks iced tea :blushes: Meanwhile Homer and Bart get into the greasy business of grease.
>I think this is a pretty good average episode. There are a few scenes that could have you rolling on all fours (not really, but the point is it'll make you laugh). Alex is annoying, which is why it somehow fits her character and the story itself. The final parts of the episodes and how Lisa wants to copy Alex are all memorable.
Episode 2: "The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace". After hearing a D.J gag about living up to 72-years, Homer starts going through this craze that he hasn't made anything worth it (wait, I wouldn't say "craze" as he hasn't made anything useful), Homer starts to admire inventor Thomas Edison (to the point of explaining that he made an invention that involves communicating with the dead). But, he flat-out sucks, so will he be able to make inventions that actually work?
>This is a really great episode with lots of laughs. Homer's make-up gun anything but helpful and exciting. Again, really memorable episode and great writing from the staff on this one.
Episode 3: "Bart the Mother". When Bart kills a mother bird by mistake, he tries to make things right by secretly raising the eggs. We also see the final scene with Phil Hartman as our favorite "Troy McClure" in a nature-video about taking care of eggs and baby birds.
>This episode is one of those episodes mixed with humor and some emotional dialog from Marge (who else?). Part of the reason why this is a famous one is due to Phil Hartman's final voice acting on The Simpsons.
Episode 4: "Treehouse of Horror IX". Ah yes... Halloween.... Best used for costumes, candy, and a hysterical Simpsons episode. "Hell Toupee" stars the death of Snake due to execution. But, he swore vengeance against the three witnesses to his final crime (Apu, Moe, and Bart :gulp!:) After Homer's hair transplant (with Snake's hair of course), the hair starts affecting him into killing those witnesses. "The Terror of Tiny Town" involves Bart and Lisa putting plutonium in the remote control after Marge removes the batteries (I&S got too violent). After such events, they get stuck in the cartoon itself, and you know Itchy and Scratchy don't like being laughed at. In "Starship Poopers", Maggie turns out to be the daughter of Kang, so the family and E.Ts go out on each other on "The Jerry Springer Show" where Jerry Springer (voiced by Jerry Springer, eh.....) hosts.
> This is a really funny episode with a ton of clever gags (along with many laugh-out-loud scenes). I think "Starship Poopers" is the best part of the 3-story Halloween... stuff.
Episode 5: When You Dish upon a Star. This is where Homer becomes the secret assistant of Alec Baldwin (voiced by Alec Baldwin) and Kim Basinger (voiced by Kim Basinger) after he crashes into their private house in Springfield. After Ron Howard visits (voiced by Ron Howard), Homer's antics gets himself into trouble. Will he be forgiven by the celebrities, or will a shunning be involved?
> Great episode right there. One of the best scenes, I think, are the ones involving Homer's script for a movie. You may not like these celebs, but you'll like this episode maybe.
[to be continued]
They Saved Lisa's Brain I'm still laughing about "They Saved Lisa's Brain". When I saw it for the first time I thought to myself "Boy, they really got the sound of Stephen Hawking's vocoder right - only to read in the voice credits that the "The World's Smartest Man" had made a guest appearance. Classic!
The first five seasons were the only worthy After that, the Simpsons became not funny, but silly. South Park is so much better than the Simpsons. The first seasons were great, but the new one are not. South Park f@cking rules. It is much more intelligent, wittier, and they f@cking curse, which is f@cking great. And they fart, which is cool.
Watch South Park instead, don't f@cking waste your money.
